                        Contact Relationship Management (CRM)

                        Picture
Contact Relationship Management (CRM) is a widely-implemented strategy for managing a company’s interactions with customers, clients and sales prospects. It involves using technology to organize, automate, and synchronize business processes—principally sales activities, but also those for marketing, customer service, and technical support. The overall goals are to find, attract, and win new clients, nurture and retain those the company already has, entice former clients back into the fold, and reduce the costs of marketing and client service.  Customer relationship management describes a company-wide business strategy including customer-interface departments as well as other departments.

                        Project Relationship Management (PRM)

                        Picture
Project Relationship Management (PRM) is a flexible system by which Users can coordinate their activities across a broad spectrum of activity and/or contacts.

Not all activities directly revolve around a single or even group of contacts.  These activities may be common goal-based work that is being done by a group of Users, or a number of activities that involve many people collaboratively working to see them completed.  In those cases it is convenient and ideal to wrap all those activities together not by Contact but by a more generic grouping as a Project.

                        Picture
A Sales force management system (SFA), typically a part of a company’s customer relationship management system, is a system that automatically records all the stages in a sales process. SFA includes a contact management system which tracks all contact that has been made with a given customer, the purpose of the contact, and any follow up that might be required. This ensures that sales efforts are not duplicated, reducing the risk of irritating customers. SFA also includes a sales lead tracking system, which lists potential customers through paid phone lists, or customers of related products. Other elements of an SFA system can include sales forecasting, order management and product knowledge.
