Private Appointments and Contacts, example of personal information in a shared system

By EYOND / MRSware Team •7/15/2017 • Archived Article
If a User wants to keep personal information in the system that no one else can see, they can do that by selecting a "Private" Type for that item.  This is true throughout the system, and all different kinds of entries.

Each kind of entry (Contacts, Appointments, Journals, Tasks, Projects) in MRSware has a "Type" that is assigned.

Here are some examples of personal entries:
  • Appointments - You have a doctor's appointment and want to track the location and time in your calendar, but don't want everyone else to know the specifics.  Selecting a Type of "Private" for this Appointment still blocks out the time, as other users can see in the Attendees tab, but restricts anyone else from opening and seeing any of the details.
  • Contacts - You want to keep your Doctor's name and contact information in the system for convenience, but don't want everyone else to see their name at all.  You check the box labeled "Private" on the Contact entry and only you see the Doctor's name in your contact list or edit the Doctor's information.
  • Journals - You want to keep questions and answers, blood test results, or recommended treatments in a journal, but don't want everyone else to see this information.  You select a Type of "Private" for this Journal and you can see the information, but no one else can.
