MREPS – Centralized Product Catalog & Multi-Tier Price Levels
The Product Catalog module in MRSware Desktop (EYOND.MRSware.Modules.OM) is the central master item repository for multi-line manufacturers' representative agencies. It provides a unified database of factory part numbers, product descriptions, multi-tier pricing schedules (List, Net, Wholesale, Cost, and custom price levels), units of measure, and product classification groups. The Product Catalog powers auto-completion and Quick Add across Orders & Invoices, Quotes, and Inventory Tracking.
Press Ctrl+N to add a new catalog item, Ctrl+E to edit, Del to delete, or use the header search box to instantly filter part numbers across all factory lines.
Product Catalog Architecture
Rather than retyping part numbers and prices manually on every invoice or quote, the Product Catalog establishes an authoritative, reusable master product library:

Catalog items are explicitly linked to manufacturer principal contacts (ManufacturerContactId), allowing reps to manage separate catalogs for dozens of factory lines in one central database.
💲 Multi-Tier Pricing Levels
Supports multiple simultaneous price levels: Unit Price, Cost, List A, List B, and dealer wholesale net prices, with configurable commission percentage overrides per SKU.
⚡ Instant Quick Add Everywhere
Type or scan a part number in Orders, Invoices, or Quotes; MRSware autocompletes the full description, current pricing, unit type, and standard commission rate in milliseconds.
🔄 Accounting & ERP Sync
Bidirectional synchronization with QuickBooks Desktop items, price sheets, and inventory asset accounts via QBXML integration.
Permissions & Navigation
Access to the Product Catalog is governed by role-based security:
- Required Base Permission:
MRSware/Order Management/Products– Grants view and search access across the catalog. - Sub-Permissions:
MRSware/Order Management/Products/Edit(enables Add, Edit, and Price Matrix updates) andMRSware/Order Management/Products/Delete(enables SKU removal).
Open the module by clicking Product Catalog on the Shortcut Bar or navigating to Modules → Product Catalog.

Add / Edit Catalog Item Details
Opening an item (AddEditCatalogItem.cs) provides comprehensive product definition:
- Manufacturer Linkage: Contact selector associating the SKU with its parent manufacturer.
- Part Number & Barcode: Primary Part Number, Manufacturer SKU, UPC/EAN Barcode, and Alternate OEM Cross-Reference numbers.
- Item Description: Dual-field system featuring a concise Short Title for tables and a rich Extended Description for quotes and spec proposals.
- Unit of Measure: Select standard packaging units (Each, Carton, Case of 24, Foot, Hundredweight).
- Commission Override: Specify whether this item pays standard agency contract commission or a SKU-specific commission percentage.
Multi-Tier Pricing Schedules
MRSware supports sophisticated multi-tier price structures to accommodate commercial wholesale trade:
- Cost & Multipliers: Define factory base cost and target margin multipliers.
- Tiered Price Levels: Maintain separate pricing columns for Master Distributors, Stocking Wholesalers, Commercial Contractors, and Retail Accounts.
- Quantity Breaks: Set discounted pricing tiers based on order volume thresholds (e.g., 1-99 units, 100-499 units, 500+ units).
Quick Add Integration in Orders, Invoices & Quotes
The primary operational benefit of the Product Catalog is instantaneous line item entry. In Order Entry, Invoice Entry, and Quotes, simply type the first few characters of a part number. The Quick Add drop-down matches the SKU, populates description, pulls the correct customer price tier, applies the commission rate, and calculates extended totals with zero keystroke waste.
Batch Catalog Importing & CSV Mapping
When manufacturers release annual price sheets with thousands of part updates, use Data Import & Sync to ingest factory Excel or CSV files. The import engine maps Item Number, Description, Cost, and List Prices, automatically creating new SKUs and updating existing price tiers while preserving transaction history.
