Match Data can be be pressed multiple times, and is pretty handy... What it is doing is going out into the system and looking for Products, Customers, and all the other entries from your spreadsheet to see if those things already exist in the system. If they do, the "Id" field for each piece of information is filled in; if they don't exist, the corresponding Id field is left blank.

This gives the User instant feedback on what was and was not found by the importer. See a blank Id field, like a Customer, that didn't get filled in but you expected to be in the system? Take this opportunity to see why -- spelling of the name? Account Number mismatch?

Whatever the reason, you have a change to locate, update and Match Data again to get the correct match before processing the import into the system.

Not sure if it should be in the system, or if it is indeed a new Customer? No problem, leave it blank and the importer will create the entry for you in the system. You can always sort it in the Customer screen later.

When you are done importing, make sure to click over to Batch Import Summary. This handy summary page shows totals of what has been imported, and provides links to jump to the results in the related Order and Invoice screens.
