IMAP server = [yourdomain].mrsware.com
SMTP server = [yourdomain].mrsware.com
Username = [your email address]
Password = [your mailbox password]
Likewise, the Username and Password are the same for both POP3 and IMAP. Remember that your POP3/IMAP Password is not necesssarily the same as your MRSware login password, since they can be set separately. The System Adminstrator for your office can reset passwords on Mailboxes as needed.
As an example, our fictional User works at Southern Marketing, and his e-mail address is [email protected]. His IMAP settings would be as follows:
IMAP server = southmark.mrsware.com
SMTP server = southmark.mrsware.com
Username = [email protected]
Password = asdf1234
Port Numbers
- Incoming (IMAP) port number is 143
- Outgoing (SMTP) port number is 25 or 587
Outgoing (SMTP) Server Settings
The outgoing (SMTP) settings are the same as the incoming. Use the same domain name, username, and password for outgoing mail. Users are also required to login to the outgoing mail server in order to send email, make sure the checkbox to "use same username and password as incoming server" is checked, or enter the username and password again.
Either port 25 or 587 will work for outgoing mail settings. More recently a lot if Internet service providers (ISPs) have started blocking sending on port 25 as a means to reduce spam. This will effect some home Internet Users, so we generally recommend using port 587 instead.
