A Glossary of Texting Acronyms

Texting has created a new language that you may find hard to learn.  Some of these acronyms are already part of our everyday experience, but others are not so easily remembered.  Following is a partial key to the code:

LOL      = Laughing Out Loud

LQTM    = Laughing Quietly To Myself

ROFL    = Rolling On the Floor Laughing

CSL       = Can’t Stop Laughing

G2G      = Got To Go

GGN     = Gotta Go Now

TTYL    = Talk To You Later

B4N      = Bye For Now

MULU   = Miss You Love You

GBH      = Great Big Hug

OMG     = Oh My God

AFAIK   = As Far As I Know

HAGD   = Have A Good Day

BFF       = Best Friends Forever

BF        = Boyfriend

BG        = Girlfriend

BTW     = By The Way

BC        = Because

GR8      = Great

JK         = Just Kidding

NE1      = Anyone

THX      = Thanks

YW       = You’re Welcome

W/E      = Whatever

WTH     = What The Heck

TMB      = Text Me Back

OIC       = Oh, I See

2nite     = tonight

2moro   = tomorrow

CYE      = Check Your E-Mail

DNBL8  = Do Not Be Late

FWIW   = For What It’s Worth

GI         = Google It

WIIFM  = Just checking to see if you got this far.  While this is not technically a texting acronym, most people in business will recognize it as an acronym used a lot in business - the transla it means What's In It For Me.
