MRSweb Activity contains Appointments, Journals, and Tasks which are all part of the greater Activity Tracking system in MRSweb. While each has its own niche, they do overlap in some aspects.
With Journals you can capture the details of each of your sales calls, sales meetings, training sessions, demos, service calls, trade shows, events, conferences, phone calls, and other activities. However, Journals are more than just notes - they have the added power of keeping the amount of time spent on each interaction as well as the ability to report to others in summary or with detailed descriptions.
Journals allows you to track where you've been, what took place during each activity, and how many of one kind of interaction took place in a day, week, or month; measure the number of calls for one manufacturer; and analyze the value of your activities. In other words you can use Journals when assessing line profitability and as a basis for figuring the ROI (Return on Investment) of your customers and overall business.
